Rodney Shenk; RDNY SHNK
RODNEY SHENK,
multi-instrumentalist, singer-songwriter, has been a live music entertainer in Central Florida for over three decades, co-founding & fronting two regionally successful bands — The Sharks (1987- 1992) and 606 (1993-2016) — releasing three original CDs, drawing record crowds most everywhere they played.
Rodney currently performs in the greater Sarasota area as an acoustic guitar-based solo act, and as a duo with his wife, Mj — The HappyGoLuckys
A typical Rodney Shenk performance is comprised of an eclectic mix of his own acoustic arrangements of songs from the 80’s & 90’s, plus a smattering of standards, some classic country faves, and a tasteful handful of originals.
Rodney is an award-winning songwriter, including runner-up in the Dance Music category of The John Lennon Songwriting Contest, and a People’s Choice Addy for jingle work. Rodney is continually in the studio, and most recently released a ten-song indie album, Huperchild (2022), available on all streaming and digital platforms under the name RDNY SHNK.
